Small Axe was built from humble beginnings — a small family, a small town, and a big vision. Now entering our second season serving the Lakeland area, proudly based in St. Germain, Wisconsin, we’re committed to delivering reliable, high-quality outdoor services to our local community.

Our experience spans from Wisconsin to Hawaii, bringing together a diverse background in commercial and large estate landscaping, tree trimming and removal, land surveying, and advanced skills in drone mapping and photography. This wide range of expertise allows us to approach every project with precision, efficiency, and care.

Eric, our owner’s journey began with a strong foundation in discipline and perseverance, developed through years of competitive ice hockey, including time at the collegiate level. His passion for environmental conservation and exploration led him to the Big Island of Hawaii, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science.

Through experiences in athletics, education, and hands-on fieldwork, Eric developed the work ethic and leadership that now drives Small Axe forward. Today, that same dedication is reflected in every job — from small residential projects to larger property transformations.
